Newtown Festival, 9 November 2008

Enjoying sunbathing

I never expect Newtown Festival can be such a big event. It is fully crowded with people. This is the first time I joined such festival since I have been staying in Sydney for more than 8 months! Actually, this festival is similar to Kuching Food Festival. However, it was bigger in scale, more crowded and mostly selling wide ranging of their creative handcraft items.

Although Christmas is more than a month ahead from now, the city is fully embraced with the sense of merry Christmas. All the shopping malls are fully decorated with Christmas decorations. A very famous store, David Jones has the most attractive window display. I really fascinated by the attention-grabbing window display, especially a series of the Christmas story. This Christmas season become another photography session to capture its merry atmosphere.

Found Them

I never know I have relatives in Sydney. When I first arrived in Sydney on March, I was really hesitate to contact my dear lovely aunt. I never meet her and her husband in my whole life. Still, I gave her a call during my first day in Sydney although I knew I never did such a thing in my life history. In fact, I make a right move. They are lovely and kind people. I really feel very grateful to have them as my uncle and aunt (although my aunt just one year older than me). They gave me the sense of family during my first few months in Sydney. Of course, they generously give me their help and support when I was desperately feel alone and helpless in Sydney. What should I said to them? I should say, hey, I found both of you in Sydney! And, I'm glad to know you. Thank you for everything that you have done!
